Question: Can you Deploy a Shelter in High Winds ??
If you are attempting to deploy during heavy winds (30mph and greater), you may find that the shelter gets twisted while it's unrolling.
A "high wind" deployment would work like this;
Unroll your tent manually, and open it up flat, like a big, square tarp on the ground. Stake the 4 corners to the ground. If you are not on a soil surface and staking is not an option, then tie a weight to each corner loop. A 20 pound barbell weight for this purpose. Once your 4 corners are anchored, turn on the air supply. There are staking loops all the way around the outside perimeter of the shelter, but you only need to anchor the 4 corners.
The shelter will stand upright, even during severe weather conditions.
